BTS member Jungkook, Bollywood star Alia Bhatt, Japanese anime director Hayao Miyazaki and several others have been featured on Gold House’s 2024 Most Impactful Asians A100 list. For the unversed, Gold House recognises and honours achievers across different fields. Dev Patel, Keanu Reeves, the cast of Netflix’s show ‘Beef’, Hybe Corporation’s chairman Bang Si-Hyuk and Karan Johar will also be recognised by Gold House.
Gold House will honour and celebrate these exceptional people at the Gold Gala on May 11 in Downtown Los Angeles. In the entertainment section, the actors of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’, ‘Squid Game’ star Lee Jung Jae, Bella Poarch, ‘Past Lives’ stars Greta Lee and Teo Yoo, Kpop group Stray Kids and Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook have also been included.
On the work front, BTS member Jungkook is currently serving in the military. He was earlier in the news after he became the first and the only Kpop soloist to reach one billion streams on Spotify in 2024. He was also included in Universal Music Group (UMG)’s list of top album-selling artists of the fourth quarter of 2023. He has also become the only K-pop solo artist to be named in the list. According to Universal Music Group (UMG), Jungkook’s solo album ‘Golden’ became one of the highest-selling albums of 2023 as it sold over 2.6 million copies on Hanteo in its first week.
Talking about Alia Bhatt, she will next star in ‘Jigra’ along with ‘The Archies’ star Vedang Raina. The movie will release on September 27, 2024. She will also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie ”Love & War’, which will release in theatres during Christmas 2025.
Hayao Miyazaki last directed ‘The Boy And The Heron’, which won the Oscars in 2024. The movie revolves around Mahito Maki, who moves to the countryside after his mother’s death and finds an abandoned tower near his new home.
