On what would have been Betty’s 100th birthday, Kiersten also took to Facebook to share what she believed was one of the last photos ever taken of her.
She reminisced on how the snap, taken on December 20 2021, depicted the star looking “radiant and beautiful and as happy as ever”.
Meanwhile, Jeff Witjas – her agent and long-term friend – urged fans to respect Betty’s memory by continuing the fight to save the animals – something she had been passionate about during her life.
He suggested donations to Monterey Bay Aquarium, Wildlife Learning Center, Tree People, Los Angeles Zoo, and, of course, Actors and Animals as an ideal way to honour her.
