In 1975, Terry founded Meta-4 Productions, Inc., a small Los Angeles production company, through which he produced and directed more than one hundred industrial and educational films and videos for public broadcasting and for virtually every agency of the federal government.
After an incredible career on the screen, Terr retired to his hometown of New York City where he lived until his death on April 23, 2024.
He is survived by his wife Etaferhu Zenebe-DeCoste, his two children Miguel and Melinda, a step-daughter, a granddaughter, and many cousins.
He has also been twice widowed and was preceded in death by his late wives Anna DeCoste, who passed away in 1990, and Beate Glatved DeCoste who died in 2006.
