Why Scott Disick Has Been “Keeping His Distance” From Kourtney Kardashian

Kourtney Kardashian’s relationship with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick has changed immensely since she announced her pregnancy with husband Travis Barker in June.

A source told Entertainment Tonight that Kardashian and Disick—who co-parent 13-year-old Mason, 11-year-old Penelope, and eight-year-old Reign together—simply “are not as friendly as they used to be,” though that doesn’t mean the two have bad blood.

“Scott has been very low-key lately and focusing on himself and his kids. He’s been spending more time in Miami and doing his own thing,” the insider explained. “Scott tries to be as supportive of Kourtney as possible, but also knows that it’s best to keep his distance, especially during a stressful time with her recent surgery.”

Kardashian revealed earlier this month that she had undergone “urgent fetal surgery” to save the life of her and Barker’s unborn baby. Barker, who was on tour with his band Blink-182, had rushed back home to be with her during the health scare.

During the crisis, ET’s source said, Disick “[tried] to be respectful and give her space, while also being there for her and the family.”

They added, “Scott is being as supportive as possible while also trying to take care of himself. It stings a little and he will always have love for Kourtney, but at the same time he is also happy and excited for her. He wants to continue to move on and focus on his own personal life.”

Another source previously told ET that “there are no hard feelings between Travis and Scott,” and that Disick and Kardashian’s three kids are “looking forward” to welcoming their future baby brother.
