A claim to the outright Pioneer Football League conference title is on the line as Drake is set to take on Morehead State this Saturday.
The Bulldogs clinched a share of the PFL conference title last Saturday with a 22-19 win over the University of St. Thomas. A win Saturday would give Drake its second straight conference title. Overall, Drake currently sits at 7-1, thanks to a six-game win streak.
Morehead State can still, however, play spoiler Saturday afternoon. A win Saturday gives the Eagles a share of the conference title. In order to do that, Morehead State, currently at 6-4, will have to do something it has never done — defeat Drake in Des Moines. The Eagles are currently 0-7 on Drake’s home turf.
