Naga Munchetty, 46, has responded to a critic who accused her of being “condescending” when presenting BBC Radio 5 Live this morning. The BBC Breakfast star took to her Twitter account, where she enjoys a following of 265,000, to respond to the claims made by one Twitter user.
Naga had been discussing inflation during today’s instalment of her radio show, where she features news, discussions and interviews.
The Twitter account, Mike Super-Lewendon, told Naga to “wind it in” and that she was not presenting a “children’s channel”.
He typed: “Naga at her condescending best explaining to listeners the meaning of RRP, inflation and what 5p on a pound is in inflation.
“Waiting for the daily word eluded and it’s a full house.”
“Which is why she’s presenting on TV among with other talents, music and golf and you appear not be to any of those things.”
Rohouk added: “Holy moly some people do need to wind their necks in!
“As a nation inflation hasn’t been as big an issue as it is now.
“Therefore it makes sense for the impact to be explained. Keep it up Naga.”
