Megan Thee Stallion Remixes Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You’

Megan Thee Stallion has released a remix of a beloved Queen classic. “We Will Rock You (Megan Thee Stallion Version)” soundtracks Pepsi’s Gladiator-themed campaign, titled “Make Your Gameday Epic™”. The three-time Grammy winner’s new track celebrates the start of the 2024 NFL Regular Season and anticipates Paramount Pictures’ Gladiator II, in theaters November 22.

The 2024 game day anthem soundtracks a short film starring Megan Thee Stallion as Empress Megan, who leads a legion of NFL superstars turned Gridiron Gladiators, including Josh Allen, Derrick Henry, Justin Jefferson and Travis Kelce, as they vie for a sip of an ice-cold Pepsi. Actors Jake Lacy (“The White Lotus”) and Lamorne Morris (“Fargo”) also star in the short film. The campaign nods to a 2004 Pepsi ad starring Britney, Pink, and Beyoncé, which featured the three icons putting their own spin on “We Will Rock You.”

“I’m honored to follow in the footsteps of the legends who appeared in this Gladiator campaign 20 years ago and proud to have carved my own new legacy,” said Megan Thee Stallion. “Pepsi really brought the worlds of music, sports and entertainment together in a powerful way to set off the new NFL season. It was fun putting my creative flip on such an iconic Queen song and I can’t wait for the Hotties to hear it!”

On September 11, Megan Thee Stallion will host the 2024 VMAs. Megan herself is up for several awards. In the fan voted categories she is nominated for Best collaboration for “Wanna Be” with GloRilla, Best Hip Hop for “Boa,” and Best Trending Video for “Mamushi” featuring Yuki Chiba. “Boa” is also nominated in several professional categories, including Best Direction, Best Visual Effects, and Best Art Direction.

In June, Megan Thee Stallion released her third studio album, Megan.
