Kylie Jenner is the latest celeb to co-sign the LRD trend — that’s Little Red Dress if you’re curious. The Kylie Cosmetics founder has been turning out look after look after look during her time in France for Haute Couture Fashion Week, including a sweet Valentino matching moment with daughter Stormi Webster, and continued her red-hot streak of fashion wins with a crimson dress at the Jacquemus Spring 2024 Ready-to-Wear show.
For the show, which featured a runway appearance by her pal Gigi Hadid, Jenner slipped into a bright red minidress with fun, ‘80s-inspired details like shoulder pads, a draped neckline and peekaboo cutout on the bodice.
She paired the dress with matching red slingbacks with a super pointy toe and bow detail, plus a matching red mini bag and her go-to black sunglasses to keep her eyes shielded from an endless camera flash. To keep the ’80s vibes going, Jenner wore her hair in a voluminous blowout with lots of oomph at the root. And yes, if you were wondering, Webster also wore red just like her mom.
After the show, Jenner was really seeing red in a monochromatic scarlet look. She wore a teddy bear coat with a Mongolian lamb fur collar, layered over matching red tights (another big trend!) and red shoes. No winter blahs here!
In late 2023, the “pop of red” trend was everywhere. We were seeing bright crimson scarves, socks, vests, and even phone cases, adding a zing of vibrant color to even the simplest ‘fits. The shade continued its domination throughout the holiday season, which makes sense given the festive tone, and stars like Olivia Rodrigo, Sydney Sweeney, and Ariana Grande all donned LRDs for various events. It was a fresh change of pace after months of hot pink Barbiecore, and if the Kylie Jenner stamp of approval is any indication, it looks like we’re in for another season of all red everything.
