Kylie Jenner has never looked more like her supermodel older sister Kendall as she debuts a voluminous new hairstyle in this season’s coveted ‘vanilla blonde’ shade. The 27-year-old media personality and beauty founder showed off the unexpected hair transformation via Instagram yesterday, and following Kendall’s latest hair reinvention, the pair could literally be twins.
Kylie’s vanilla blonde shade was inspired by the iconic 1968 Jane Fonda blockbuster, Barbarella. While her colour is slightly deeper and warmer than her sister’s fresh sunshine blonde colour, when you sit the two side-by-side, you can barely tell them apart.

While previously, Kendall’s signature style sat in the realm of easygoing, off-duty supermodel fashion (think chic casual and with tomboyish elements), her latest blonde ‘do has seen the Jenner sporting a far more glamorous attire, beauty included. After sidelining her natural brunette tresses and debuting a similarly vanilla blonde shade, we’ve seen the older sister in everything from letterbox red lipstick to striking Monroe curls.
Meanwhile, for Kylie, this bright new ‘do is far more in keeping with her ever-changing personal style, which is more experimental. From playful blue hues to full-on Nineties blowouts, this Jenner is rarely caught in an au natural state (and never without a polished set of extensions. Although her latest colour is a wig, and likely going back into retirement following the Halloween weekend, there’s no denying it is one of her most flattering colours yet.
The pair’s close friend and fellow model Hailey Bieber also dialled up her signature colour for the occasion, showcasing a bright collection of nineties blonde highlights in an ode to Nicole Richie. The new mum and Rhode Beauty founder took to Instagram alongside Kendall, who brought out her best Paris Hilton impersonation, in a fun recreation of the iconic duo’s The Simple Life TV show.
