Kate Middleton and Her Kids Frolic Through the Countryside in Rare Video

Princess Kate’s family showed up in a new video to support her as she announced the end of her chemotherapy treatment.

In a three-minute video posted to the Waleses’ social media accounts on Monday, Kate revealed that she has officially completed chemotherapy—a huge step on her ongoing journey to recover from cancer. The emotional clip included plenty of sweet cameos from husband Prince William and their three kids: Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.

The family of five could be seen coordinating in various blue outfits as they walked through the woods, played in the countryside, and posed with big smiles for the camera. The rare family footage also featured appearances from Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton. The two were briefly filmed playing cards with the Waleses.

“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family,” Kate says in the clip. “Life as you know it can change in an instant, and we’ve had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”

She adds, “This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.”

Kate announced her cancer diagnosis in March. While the royal omitted what type of cancer she had been diagnosed with, she confirmed that the disease was identified following an abdominal surgery in January.

“The surgery was successful; however, tests after the operation found cancer had been present,” she said in a video message at the time. “My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”
