Kate Hudson made an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday. The Oscar-nominated actress chatted with the eponymous late-night host about her debut album “Glorious.” She also performed as the musical guest on the episode.
For her performance look, Hudson showed off her proclivity for a rocker-chic sensibility in a dress from the Roberto Cavalli spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection. The white dress with streaks of gray featured a billowing cape, which could be seen in full when Hudson was performing.
The Roberto Cavalli look also featured a scarf element, bands of fabric at the ends of the cape and delicate corset front closure. The look also featured feathery elements, such as the bands of fabric at the ends of the cape.
Hudson added silver bracelets as her accessories to her long-sleeve dress. The Oscar-nominated star performed her song “Gonna Find Out” during the musical performance portion of “The Tonight Show” episode.
Hudson’s performance look made its runway debut in September 2023 during Milan Fashion Week. Designer Fausto Puglisi took inspiration from women “who dress for no one but themselves” for the collection.
“They want to be happy, they want to be free, they can play with their wardrobes. The palette is super happy with lots of pink, and desert shades,” the designer said.
Along with her performance look, Hudson also fashioned an outfit for the interview portion of the episode. Hudson played with fabric and texture, wearing a monochrome brown high-waisted leather skirt with a velvet long-sleeve top. She accessorized her look with a gold cuff bracelet and bangles.
“Glorious,” out May 17, is Hudson’s first studio album. The actress’ singing skills have been on display in such films as the 2009 film adaptation of the musical “Nine.” During her interview with Fallon, Hudson disclosed the album was “two-and-a-half years in the making.”
