Jenna Ortega was a vision in red as she arrived at the highly anticipated world premiere of her film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice at the Venice Film Festival.
The actor turned heads as she walked into the Palazzo del Cinema this evening in Italy, in a flowing custom Dior gown that matched the red carpet. The top of the piece was made up of gauzy layers that fell in a heart shape down to her belly button, exposing her torso. It was held together by dainty spaghetti straps, which left the back entirely open.
The skirt of the dress was an ample floor-length tulle tutu that, despite its breezy layers, was partly see-through. Underneath, Ortega wore small red hot shorts to match. It was a modern take on red-carpet glamour, and a big nod to the red wedding dress Winona Ryder wore as Lydia Deetz in the original film.
Ortega continued the rouge color scheme with a pair of silky sky-high platforms, as well as a dramatic smoky red eye and a bright red lip. To add some sparkle to the monochrome ensemble, the actor layered on the silver and diamond jewelry, which included small earrings, a twisted branchlike necklace, and matching twisted bracelets and rings.
Ortega wore her hair in an elegant low bun, with her wispy bangs framing her face. She joined her costars, including Winona Ryder, Monica Bellucci, and Catherine O’Hara, as well as director Tim Burton, on the red carpet ahead of their big night.
The 81st Venice International Film Festival, which celebrates the best of cinema, kicked off today, August 28, and will run through September 7.
