At one point, she starts responding to a question about their movie, before turning to Pine with a smile and saying, “You take it from here.” As the Star Trek actor begins answering, Gadot can be seen continuing to smile at him before biting her lip, then quickly looking away.

While filming Wonder Woman, director Patty Jenkins had already started thinking about Diana Prince’s future. And as she watched Gal Gadot and Chris Pine working effortlessly as a romantic duo while shooting, she also began thinking about a future for Steve Trevor.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Jenkins discussed Wonder Woman’s love story, and her romantic reunion with Steve Trevor in the sequel. “It was near the middle of the first one that it started to come to me. [Co-writer] Geoff Johns and I started talking about it. We started to break the story, and we would stand on the side while they were lighting a set and just figure out chunks of it.”
Jenkins discussed taking a chance and casting Gadot and Pine without any idea if the two had any chemistry. Somehow, the director just knew the two would be a perfect pair for the film.
The Wonder Woman director said, “I was just sure. I was just so sure that he was the one that it wasn’t really until I was on set, and you saw the two of them together, that you saw how great [they are].”
She also commented, “I don’t know that anybody ever expected that they would be so great that I think that they’re one of the great onscreen romances.”
Jenkins turned out to be right, as fans have loved watching Pine and Gadot team up both for films and interviews.
