Gordon Ramsay was completely ruthless as he called his daughter’s boyfriend ‘pathetic’ in a new interview.

The iconic chef, 55, sat down for a chat with Kelly Clarkson on her show when the topic turned to 23-year-old Megan’s romances.

He was asked how he deals with his children’s dating lives and he responded: “I’m so naughty sometimes. I just want the girls to be looked after, and for them to look after each other.”

Gordon explained that he “did something really bad” when Megan began dating her ex-boyfriend Byron again.

Describing Byron as a “bit wet”, Gordon said: “He was OK, to begin with. You want a man to date your daughter, and he was just a little bit pathetic.”

Kelly couldn’t help but laugh as she sympathised with Byron, saying: “Byron is peeing his pants somewhere.”

In true Gordon fashion, he added: “I’m going to kill that little [bleep].”

He went on to admit that he found Byron’s phone number from his daughter Tilly and pretended he just needed to have his details in case of an emergency.

The chef patiently waited until Megan and her boyfriend went out to dinner and FaceTimed him.

“Byron, it’s me! Not your future father-in-law!” Gordon recounted what he said to the terrified man.

We’d be shaking in our seats too, Byron.

His terrifying joke comes after he vowed to keep cooking on television until he’s an ‘old man’.

The celebrity chef is about to make his 21st series of Hell’s Kitchen in the USA – and he believes the series has no shelf life.

He has a chain of successful restaurants and has presented endless TV shows, including Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, Ramsay’s Best Restaurant and Next Level Chef.

Speaking about what drives him to continue, Gordon said: “It’s always about being better than what we’ve already done, and constantly pushing the envelope.

“I don’t sit and think ‘We’ve made it’ or ‘We’re financially secure. Why work so hard?’ I need that jeopardy. I need the danger of it possibly not working. And I need to be pushed, because that’s when you’re going to get me at my best,” he told the Thrillist.

Describing himself as “fit as a fiddle” he boasted he could ‘go for another 30 seasons’, joking “do not underestimate the power of an old man”.
