When we started shooting on the beach, we knew that Koko would be dirty, but he would be happy. I realised Karishma and Koko always walk with the same foot forward, it seemed like they had such a strong connection, I had to capture it!”

DO’S AND DON’TS FOR PHOTOSHOOT
– Props like baby pacifiers, baby toys, and woolen thread balls should not be used during photoshoots with dogs. If a dog ingests these items, they can get stuck in the stomach or gut, potentially leading to major surgery. Therefore, using such props is strongly discouraged
– Trends like using different colours on dogs to make them look cute, should be avoided. There have been cases where dogs have had a severe reaction, especially if they have long fur
– Cats aren’t comfortable being carried in backpacks and pet carriers, especially on bikes at high altitudes, even if they make for cool videos
– Pets should travel comfortably in a close environment with minimum visual stimulus

TEAM TO MANAGE SOCIAL MEDIA:
To ensure engagements on social media, a team of professionals is hired to build a strategy plan. “Depending on the level of engagement and the specific strategy, posts could range from three to seven per week, ensuring consistency without overwhelming the audience. Brands in the pet industry related to pet food, accessories, and grooming centres, are highly inclined to collaborate with celebrity pet accounts. Compensation for these partnerships varies depending on the follower count, engagement rates, and the scope of the collaboration,” says Neel Gogia, co-founder of an influencer marketing agency.
EXPENDITURE: Manager charges approx Rs 75,000-Rs 1,00,000 per month/per account
