Novak Djokovic‘s wife Jelena, 35, shared a picture of the pair kissing on a beach on her Instagram page this week, where she posted a lengthy message about his visa situation in Australia. The tennis legend sparked backlash after telling fans he was given exemption permission to head Down Under unvaccinated for the upcoming Australian Open.
After arriving in the country however, he was denied entry after reportedly failing to provide necessary evidence for vaccine exemption.
The 34-year-old is said to have applied for a visa that doesn’t support vaccination exemption on medical grounds.
The sportsman will learn his fate on whether he can compete in the tournament on Monday.
Jelena has stayed at home with the couple’s children Tara and Stefan, but has been sharing her thoughts online.

On her social media pages, she wrote: “It’s Christmas today for us, my wishes are for everyone to be healthy, happy, safe and together with families.
“We wish we are all together today, but my consolation is that at least we are healthy. And we will grow from this experience.
“Thank you dear people, all around the world for using your voice to send love to my husband. I am taking a deep breath to calm down and find gratitude (and understanding) in this moment for all that is happening.
“The only law that we should all respect across every single border is Love and respect for another human being.
“As a mother, what can I say, you can just imagine how I feel, I feel terrible since yesterday, the last 24 hours.”
She went on to claim that her son was being kept “like a prisoner”.
“It’s just not fair, it’s not human,” she added.
The tennis star has been married to Jelena since 2014.
In the same year of tying the knot, the couple had their first child together, a son named Stefan, now seven.
