BTS, Suga And Jungkook Get Featured In IFPI Global Music Report 2024 For Their Massive Success; Fans Congratulate Them



BTS members are currently on a hiatus to complete their mandatory military service and focus on their solo projects. Despite their absence from the limelight, all the members managed to grab the attention and have been achieving several milestones. BTS, Suga and Jungkook have added another feather to their hat by getting featured on the introduction page of IFPI Global Music Report 2024. BTS was featured due to their global impact and Jungkook was mentioned due to the huge success of his album ‘Golden’ and other solo songs. Suga was mentioned under his other stage name ‘Augst D’ as he released his album ‘D-Day’ with his alter identity before enlisting in the military.

BTS ARMYs are proud after seeing the new achievements of their favorite Kpop idols. ‘Congratulations BTS, Jungkook and August D’ has been trending on social media as fans have extended their best wishes.

Jungkook was also included in Universal Music Group (UMG)’s list of top album-selling artists of the fourth quarter of 2023. He has also become the only K-pop solo artist to be named in the list. According to Universal Music Group (UMG), Jungkook’s solo album ‘Golden’ became one of the highest-selling albums of 2023 as it sold over 2.6 million copies on Hanteo in its first week.

‘Golden’ features 11 tracks including ‘Standing Next To You”Closer To You’, which will feature Jamaican-American DJ trio Major Lazer, among others. The other tracks are: ‘Yes or No’, ‘Please Don’t Change’, ‘Somebody’, ‘Shot Glass of Tears’, ‘Hate You’ and ‘Too Sad to Dance’. Jungkook will team up with popular international artists like Shawn Mendes and Ed Sheeran for ‘Golden’.

On the work front, Suga released his solo album ‘D-Day’ under his other name Agust D and also went on a concert tour, which became a huge success. He also released his documentary ‘Suga: Road To D-Day’, which gave an insight into how he worked on his album and talked about finding a new dream when you have achieved everything you wanted in your life. Amid Suga’s absence from the limelight, BigHit Music will reportedly be his concert movie soon.
