Ashley Graham appeared on “Good Morning America” on Monday to promote her first project as a children’s author, “A Kids Book About Beauty.”
Graham selected a chocolate brown maxidress featuring a wrap skirt. The supermodel added on crocodile print mules and gold statement earrings, completing her look with layered rings.
Stylist Emily Evans, whose other A-list clients include Nicole Scherzinger and Kate Beckinsale, dressed Graham for the occasion.
Hairdresser Erickson A styled the Saint-Tropez brand ambassador’s brunette tresses in waves, while makeup artist Nadia Tayeh gave Graham brown eye shadow, soft pink blush and a matching lip.
Speaking to host Ginger Zee, Graham explained why she dedicated her first children’s book to her 9-year-old self.
“I remember being nine and thinking back to what I imagined my hair should look like, or not having cellulite,” Graham said. “I want that 9-year-old girl who is looking at herself in the mirror to know that that’s OK. That’s your body. It’s strong, it’s the one that you were given. Embrace it, love it, cherish it.”
Graham also discussed why her new book is made not just for kids, but for their parents.
“As I was coming up with the concept of what I wanted the book to embrace, it really went back to affirmations and what my mom taught me growing up was just speaking well of yourself,” she said.
Graham has two children of her own with husband Justin Ervin, who she married in 2010.
