Ariana Grande pays Dalton Gomez $1.25m in divorce settlement

Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez have settled their divorce, Page Six has confirmed.

They filed for divorce last month, and a source exclusively told Page Six of the amicable settlement, “Ariana and Dalton really wanted to take care of each through all of this and make it as easy on one another as possible — which is why they really took their time with everything.”

TMZ reports that Dalton will receive $US1.25m (almost $2m in Australian dollars), tax-free. He will receive the money upfront and will not receive any ongoing spousal support. Dalton will also receive half the net proceeds from the sale of the couple’s Los Angeles home, and Ariana will pay up to $25,000 of his lawyer’s fees.

The date of separation in the divorce filing was February 20, but the couple didn’t file for divorce until last month.

A source further said of the pair, “They have a strong mutual respect for each other.”

Court records seen by Page Six show the settlement was filed on Friday.

Sources tell Page Six that Grande is giving Gomez an upfront payment rather than paying monthly spousal support — which was a better financial arrangement for her ex.

Apparently, the agreement filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court also gives 28-year-old Gomez — a successful realtor — continued 24-hour security because Grande wanted her ex to live a safe and private lifestyle after their split.

Page Six previously reported that the pop singer, 30, requested in her Sept. 18 filing in Los Angeles that the estranged couple’s prenuptial agreement be honoured.

The specifics of that contract were not disclosed, however.

Grande had previously requested that any community property from the marriage be divided, per the prenup, as well.

TMZ was the first to report on the news, adding that a judge just now needs to sign off.

Grande was repped by celeb lawyer Laura Wasser, who cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

“They came to the decision together,” an insider said in July. “They were having problems before January, but they want to remain best friends.”

The Thank U, Next singer has since moved on with her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater.

TMZ was first to report the news of Grande and Gomez’s settlement.
