Rumors began circulating this week that musical artist Doja Cat and Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn might be dating after the two were spotted together in London. The situation is truly inspirational to anyone who’s had a longtime crush, as the rapper first suggested she was interested in Quinn in 2022.
But shortly after she made her first move, there were rumors that Doja was dating J.Cyrus, taking a Quinn romance off the table. Then recently, Doja was supposedly spotted with a profile on the dating app Raya, leading fans to think she might have split up with Cyrus.

May 2022
Shortly before the release of Stranger Things 4: Volume 1 on Netflix, Doja wrote in a now-deleted tweet: “joseph quinn fine as shit.”
Later, after the release of Volume 2, a fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “Doja look how fine Joseph Quinn is,” and she replied, “It’s f-cking criminal.”
Quinn liked the first post, and the official Netflix Instagram account even shared a screenshot of it.
July 2022
In July 2022, Noah Schnapp revealed on TikTok that Doja Cat had DMed him about his costar, sharing their private messages from Instagram.
In the messages, Doja Cat asked Schnapp, “Noah can u tell Joseph to hmu. Wait no. Does he have a gf?”
Schnapp responded, “LMAOO slide into his [DMs].”
She answered, “Idk his IG or Twitter he doesn’t have a DM to slide into.”
Schnapp then gave her Quinn’s Instagram handle. She was clearly not expecting Schnapp to share their conversation publicly and ended up blasting his behavior during an Instagram livestream.
“The fact that Noah did that, like, went and posted a private conversation between me and him is so unbelievably socially unaware and whack,” she said. “That’s borderline snake shit, that’s weasel shit. And I’m not saying that encapsulates his entire personality.
She continued, “Maybe he is, like, a whole snake. But I didn’t see him that way. I made an assumption that he was gonna be chill about it, and he went and shared information that I didn’t feel comfortable with him sharing.”
Schnapp was 17 years old at the time—during the livestream, Doja also said, “To be fair, first let’s be chill about it. Like Noah is a kid…”—and they have both since apologized to each other.

In mid-August, DeuxMoi shared a video of the two walking in London with Quinn wrapping his arm around her shoulder and holding her hand behind his back. Another photo allegedly showed them together in Camden. And a third pic seemed to show them having a drink at a pub in London, enjoying an animated conversation.
