‘Thought it would be over!’ Davina McCall credits Masked Singer for saving her career | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Davina McCall, 54, has credited The Masked Singer for saving her career, as she admitted she believed it’d be over by now. The presenter sits as a judge alongside Jonathon Ross, Rita Ora and Mo Gilligan on the hit ITV show, and revealed she’s feeling the magic once again now Covid restrictions have eased for productions.

In a new interview, the former Big Brother host said: “What was crazy about last year is that I honest to God thought that my career would be over by this point.

“And I’ve never been so busy, but in a really, really lovely way.”

She beamed as she told The Daily Star: “I’m loving work so much, and due to the lighter restrictions we’ve been able to work with a studio audience on The Masked Singer.

“All that kind of stuff was magic.”

Davina bounced back from a bout of Covid last year and resuming a somewhat normal routine with work and family life means she’s in a good place and “really happy”.

So much so, that the fan-favourite presenter has stated she is ready to stop “giving a damn” about negative energy.

A breath of fresh air among the best of British celebrities, the TV star with her care-free attitudes to life, gives us the motivation we need to be our best selves.

And despite being in her 50s, she doesn’t plan on slowing down any time soon – and why should she!

She said: “I have a line where I think, ‘I wouldn’t wear that, that’s too risky, or I don’t feel comfortable in it’.

“I just don’t think any of the outfits that I was wearing were that shocking. I didn’t think they were outrageous…”

She continued: “There’s always going to be a few people that complain about anything, about everything.

“Social media is so brilliant in so many ways, but it can be so destructive too.”
