Kylie Jenner doesn’t want to be like her sister Kim Kardashian and this is why she raises her daughters differently

Kylie Jenner recently opened up about her parenting style, revealing how it contrasts with that of her sister, Kim Kardashian.

The 27-year-old influencer, who is mother to six-year-old Stormi and two-year-old Aire, shared her thoughts on raising children in the age of social media during an interview. Jenner, who shares her children with ex-partner Travis Scott, explained that she is more cautious when it comes to her kids’ online presence.

While Kim allows her two older children – North and Saint – to have a presence on platforms like TikTok and YouTube, Kylie takes a different approach.

Kim’s daughter North has 19.2 million followers on TikTok, and Saint has his own YouTube channel with thousands of subscribers. However, Kylie prefers to keep her children offline for as long as possible.

“I don’t want them to have their own social media accounts until they move out of the house,” she declared to Elle Magazine.

Jenner wants to keep family life private

In her interview with Elle magazine, Kylie shared that when it comes to posting about her children, she wants any content to come from herself or her children’s father, rather than from the kids themselves. She also mentioned that her daughter Stormi already knows TikTok dances despite not having her own account, highlighting the difficulty of keeping children completely away from social media.

Beyond her children’s online presence, Kylie also reflected on her personal relationship with the internet. She admitted that constantly posting content is exhausting and noted that her life was much simpler before she had kids and felt the pressure to stay relevant online. While she used to be more active on Instagram, Kylie now believes in maintaining more privacy for herself and her family.

In addition, Kylie spoke candidly about her struggles with postpartum depression, which she experienced after both her children were born.

She previously shared with Vanity Fair Italy that while the condition was “more manageable” after the birth of her son Aire, it was still a difficult experience. Her advice to new mothers is to embrace the moment, even during the tough times, and not to rush through the emotional journey of motherhood.

By setting boundaries and sharing her experiences, Kylie is showing a more grounded and thoughtful approach to parenting.
