Horticulture expert and TV presenter Monty Don has shared images of his garden, which has been flooded. However, he sounds optimistic about the rainstorms that have impacted his garden.
The well-loved gardener tweeted to his 248.7K followers earlier this morning (February 16).
He wrote: “Unsurprisingly the watermeadows are flooding and sneaking into the garden. (sic)
“I welcome this – not least because the accompanying birds are so fabulous – and it does no harm to the garden.”
The tweet has had over 1,000 likes.

Monty also posted a video of his garden on his Instagram account, captioned: “The Spring garden on a blustery morning”.
In the video, you can hear the blustering wind as well as birds chirping.

Monty had been anticipating flooding in his Longmeadow garden in Herefordshire, as he posted an image of a nearby overflowing river last night (February 15).
