Ariana Grande lands cruelty-free approval for r.e.m beauty

Ariana Grande has managed to get cruelty-free certification for her makeup brand r.e.m beauty.

The pop sensation’s beauty products debuted in the US back in 2021, before launching in UK retailer Selfridges a year later.

Now, vegan charity PETA has confirmed the brand does not use controversial animal testing methods, and will join the charity’s Beauty Without Bunnies database.

Moreover, r.e.m products will soon feature the PETA-approved cruelty-free logo.

‘Leading the way’

“Every cosmetics brand needs to break free from useless tests on animals,” Said PETA’s Lisa Lange.

“Thanks to Ariana’s fabulous cruelty-free line, r.e.m. beauty is now PETA-approved and leading the way.”

Ariana Grande – vegan controversy

Grande has regularly used her platform to advocate plant-based eating and better animal welfare.

Back in 2020, the celeb opened an animal rescue centre in Los Angeles, California. According to reports, she also owns several rescue animals herself, including a pig named Piggy Smallz.

However, it has not been confirmed whether the singer still follows a vegan diet. In the past, she has received backlash from fans for promoting drinks containing dairy.
