ARMYs didn’t feel that it was needed.
Last year, BTS‘s maknae Jungkook shocked ARMYs with his unexpectedly NSFW solo release “Seven” from his album GOLDEN.
The explicit song, which features American rapper Lotto, is quite literally about f*cking seven days a week. Jungkook got more explicit as he sang (in English, so no mistranslations here) about “the way that we can ride” and how he’ll be “lovin’ you right” seven days a week!
Tightly take control, tightly take his soul
Take your phone and put it in the camera roll (Uh)
Leave them clothes at the door
What you waitin’ for? Better come and hit ya goals
Uh, he jump in it both feet
Goin’ to the sun-up, we ain’t gettin’ no sleep
Seven days a week, seven different sheets
Seven different angles, I can be your fantasy
Open up, say, “Ah”
Come here, baby, let me swallow your pride
What you on? I can match your vibe (Vibe)
Hit me up and I’ma Cha-cha Slide (Skrt)
You make Mondays feel like weekends
I make him never think about cheatin’
Got you skippin’ work and meetings
F*ck it, let’s sleep in, yes (Seven days a week, ooh)— Latto and Jungkook, “Seven” Bridge
It’s the way he’s talking about fucking but holding onto a lamp pole and trying to not get blown away 😂 please, he’s so unserious 😂

The clean version of the song uses the word “lovin’” for the chorus. Yet, “f*ckin’” is used for the explicit version.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Saturday, Sunday (A week)
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Seven days a week
Every hour every minute every second
You know night after night
I’ll be f*ckin’ you right, seven days a week

As it became a huge hit, it naturally made its way onto Kidz Bop 2024. Kidz Bop is an infamous American children’s music group that produces family-friendly covers of the most popular pop songs each year. It’s known for “butchering” pop songs by replacing original lyrics with G-rated alternatives that often don’t make sense.
Kidz Bop, the popular children’s themed music, covered #Seven by #Jungkook ft Latto.
They typically only cover the biggest “gp hits” and legally alter them so children can enjoy them as well!

Considering what “Seven” is about, it’s curious what changes would be made to the song. It’s a lot of changes.
TIL that there is a Kidz Bop version of JK’s Seven.
Why? Why does this exist?
And who is tasked with identifying all the bits that need to be changed? pic.twitter.com/TaUCipaUoJ

For example, “Night after night, I’ll be lovin’/f*ckin’ you right” got changed to “Time after time, I’ll be treating you right.” The song went viral with 219K views on YouTube at the time of writing. ARMYs didn’t like the cover, saying that the original clean version exists already and that the Kidz Bop cover was unnecessary.
