Two major television shows might be returning for another season despite previously announcing cancellations.
Deadline reports ”Yellowstone” stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are in talks to do a sixth season without former star Kevin Costner. The Dutton family drama will return for the second half of its fifth and final season on Nov. 10, which won’t include Costner’s character John Dutton.
Sources told Deadline that Reilly and Hauser, who play Dutton’s daughter Beth and ranch foreman Rip Wheeler, are in negotiations to lead season 6 — and not a spinoff series, as previously rumored. It’s unclear how many other cast members may return, but Costner is not expected to have a role.
And if you “Believe” Deadline, then you’ll be excited to hear Warner Bros. Television has picked up options for three “Ted Lasso” stars to do season 4 of the Emmy-winning soccer TV show. Word is Hannah Waddingham (who plays Rebecca Walton), Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent), and Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins) are contracted under the UK acting union Equity, and now the studio is expected to reach out to SAG-AFTRA actors including Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso), Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard) and Juno Temple (Keeley Jones).
It’s unclear when the Apple TV+ series might return or which other cast members may be involved, but the show previously ended with season 3 last year. Be curious, fans — not judgmental.
